Data return and deletion at the end of the contract

What happens to your data when the contract ends.

Your data belongs to you

You retain control over your data at all times. During the term of the contract, you have access to all data you have stored in our services.

Before the contract ends: back up your data

Please back up or export your data before the contract ends. If a self-service export is not technically possible, we will provide the data to you in a common format on request, where this is technically feasible. We charge for more complex exports on a time and materials basis.

If you use technical locks such as Object Lock, please remove them in good time so that the data can be deleted.

After the contract ends: deletion

After the contract ends, we delete your data within 30 days, provided no technical locks set by you prevent this. On request, we will confirm the deletion to you.

Data that we must retain due to legal or regulatory obligations, or that is needed as evidence in ongoing or foreseeable proceedings, is excluded from deletion. We block such data from any other access.

Storage beyond the end of the contract

If data is to remain stored beyond the end of the contract, we charge the storage and deletion costs according to the current price list.

Early deletion

You can also request the deletion of your data before the contract ends. This does not end the contract, and any agreed minimum contract term and the fees owed remain in place.
