Change Management

How we plan and implement changes to your environment and our services.

Change types

Type Description Example
Standard change Low-risk routine change that can be implemented without further approval Adjusting a user profile, a minor configuration parameter
Extended change Change with possible impact on operations, planned and coordinated with you Introducing a new application, major updates
Emergency change Immediate implementation for security or operational reasons; documentation and coordination take place afterwards Urgent security patch

Changes at your request

You submit change requests via the helpdesk. We record each request as a change ticket with a description and the requested timeframe.

We then check two things: whether the change is included in the agreed scope of services and whether the person making the request is authorised to do so. Your authorisation matrix is decisive. If the authorisation is missing, we obtain confirmation from an admin.

If the change goes beyond the scope of services, you will receive a quote. We implement it after your approval.

After implementation, we check the result, confirm completion to you and document the change in the ticket.

Planned changes by Netstream

Security updates, patches, releases, migrations and configuration changes to infrastructure and platforms are part of ongoing operations and are included in the scope of services. Whenever possible, we carry them out outside office hours. If your involvement is required, we inform you in advance.

We inform your named contacts about planned changes by email. We publish changes that affect several customers on status.netstream.ch. We recommend subscribing to the status page.

Documentation

We document all changes internally. On request, you can receive information about the changes in your environment.
